Trump weighs in, and no players kneel for Super Bowl anthem

Hours before the National Anthem was sung during Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, President Trump weighed in on any potential protest.
In a short "Presidential Message on Super Bowl LII," Trump thanked members of the military and said "we proudly stand for the National Anthem."
NFL players' kneeling during the anthem in protest of racial inequality has been a defining trait of this year's professional football season. It has also divided people along partisan lines.
In one camp, the president and other conservatives have said players should show respect for the flag. The other side says players were taking a stand against a serious issue in society.
But during the year's biggest game, the only ones kneeling for the anthem were outside U.S. Bank Stadium.
