Black Lives Matter protests alleged beating of autistic teen

    What we know now:

    • A small group of protesters have begun a demonstration with the intent to disrupt Greenline service at the University and Lexington station. A group of counter-protesters is also present.

    • Metro Transit says they are prepared for the protest and will use bus service if needed

    • Reason for the protest according to the group: "Marcus Abrams, who is 17 and has Autism, was a victim of police brutality at the Lexington and University Light Rail Station." Metro Transit spokesman Howie Padilla says the incident remains under investigation.
