I'm excited about the new tax plan proposed by the GOP. Doubling the standard deduction will really help out the middle class ($24k per married couple) and adjusting the corporate tax system to line up with the rest of the world (territorial tax system) and lowering the tax rate will help bring businesses back to the USA and allow companies already here to better compete with the rest of the world.

President Trump lied when he said his tax plan wouldn't benefit the rich - they're the only ones who will benefit. I think a 70% estate tax, with no deductions, plus a 95% top personal marginal tax rate on all income over $1 million (with corporate taxes being reduced to zero, and capital gains being taxed as ordinary income in return for making corporate income pass-through to shareholders and bondholders) would be a much better plan.

Through the years I have heard complaints by locals about tax assesments/increases that have put a strain on many as improvements were needed. Ex. roads, sidewalks, sewage system, ect...

I'm a Millennial and work for a company that manufactures a product but I write software for that product. Never once did I see a subsidy for my company, we were recently bought out by a fortune 500 company, still no significant raise and we're being paid 20-30% below industry standards.
